Enterprise for all – developing self-employment and small business opportunities for people with learning disabilities
Many people with learning disabilities say they would like to work, yet few are told about self- employment as an option. People with learning disabilities have talents and skills and can use these to start their own businesses. Self-employment, with the right support, provides a route to work that is not only possible, but preferable, for some people with learning disabilities.
The Foundation for People with Learning Disabilities have developed resources and practical support to enable more people to set up their own small businesses.
If you would like information about their training workshops, consultancy or development work in relation to self employment, small business ownership or employment generally please contact Keith Bates the employment lead at the Foundation.
