Following the launch of Learning For Living and Working in London and the Valuing Employment Now strategies, SLLP has, through its LLDD networks, been supporting organisations to help people with disabilities and /or learning difficulties prepare for and move into employment.
Following the election and budget, and in the current economic climate, there are many more issues and challenges, and the need for innovative solutions to help those with disabilities and/or learning difficulties progress into work.
We have decided to call a meeting to update and explore the current situation, to discuss the challenges and possible solutions, and to consult on how we can move forward as a group of organisations working in London. We would like to propose the possibility of forming an Action Group to ensure that this customer group does not get ignored and to lobby for resources to support them enter sustainable, and discuss possible collaborative work.
We therefore invite you to a meeting on:
